Call for Artists: Dorland September Exhibit

Dear Associate Artists and Friends,
We are happy to announce that the Gallery at the Merc in Old Town Temecula will be the venue for Dorland's upcoming art exhibit, "Dorland at the Merc" during the month of September 2017.
Current Associate Artist membership is required to take part in the exhibit. You can renew or join the program by sending an email to members@dorlandartscolony.org or by visiting our website
Note: If you are a musician or writer and would like to participate in the Reception Program on Friday, September 1, from 6-9pm, please email us at events@dorlandartscolony.org. You don't have to be a member to participate in the program.

Entry Instructions
To Enter: Email Dorland Events Coordinator, Lanie Galceran at events@dorlandartscolony.org. Please include 4 or more images (jury panel will select from submissions) with titles, media, and prices. If you showed at the Merc in 2016, please submit work not shown last year. (You may show some of the work shown this year at the Brandon.)
If you are unable to send photos via email, you may bring 5 art pieces on intake day and the panel will choose 3-4 pieces as space allows, but still send a list of submissions with titles, media, and prices.
Exhibit Location: Gallery at the Merc

Cost: There is no charge to exhibit.
Artwork: All media.
  • A maximum of 3-4 wall or 3D pieces will be selected by the jury panel.
  • Framed work must have wire on the back for hanging (no saw-tooth.) Unframed work must be painted on all edges.
  • Work must be marked on the back with title, media, artist name, phone number, and price.
Maximum Size on 2D: No larger than 30” in any direction (plexiglass on art over 24” any direction)  
Maximum Weight on 3D: 20 lb
Sales: Will be handled by the artist on an individual basis. There is no commission.
Additional Artwork: On the evening of the reception, artists may also bring 5-15 matted and wrapped works and artisans may bring more pieces for sale. Bring a small table or bin for display.
Important Dates
Exhibit Dates: September 1 – 24, 2017
Entry Deadline: Friday, August 25
Notification: Tuesday, August 29
Intake: Thursday, August 319 - 10am with hanging from 11-2 pm 
(Note: Let us know if you can help us hang on Thursday at 11am.) 
Reception and Program: Friday, September 1,  6 – 9 pm
Pick-up: Monday, September 25 from 10 - 11 am.
