CALL TO ARTISTS!

We have made some small changes to the time schedule and we are allowing all entries to stay in the show.  No one will be juried out!!  Please read your Prospectus carefully, it is going to be a fun, but busy day.  Here is the final version.

Prospectus for Temecula Art League Open Juried 2015 Art Show August 7, 2015 

5:00 pm – 9:00 pm


The Temecula Valley Art league open juried show will be at the Truax Building on the corner of Mercedes and Second street in Old Town.
Load in for judging, judging, pick up for entries not juried into the show and the show will all be on the same day, at the Truax Building in Old Town, where all the First Friday events take place.  This is a First Friday event .


Judging date:  August 7, 2015, take-in: 10am - 12pm, judging from 12pm - 2pm, pick up after judging time for art not juried into the show: 2:30pm - 4pm.

JUDGE TO BE ANNOUNCED!


You cannot be late for either one of these.  The judge will be starting at 12pm sharp and there will be no more entries accepted.  You must not be present for the judging. If you are not accepted you get a call after the judging to pickup your work.  TVAL will not be responsible for the condition of any piece left behind.


Show will run from August 7, 5pm – 9pm. Your art is scheduled to be removed after the show ends that evening of August 7th, 2015!!

Open to all 2D artists, Water Media, Mixed Media, Oils, Acrylics, Pastels, Ink, Photography and pencil are allowed.

Sorry, there will be no 3D this year. 


All artists must carry their own art insurance.  TVAL or its volunteers do not assume any responsibility for any loss whatsoever, however incurred.  Each artist will have to sign a release of liability and a short form with the information about the art  for the back of each painting, when registering for the show.


Entry fee for members:  $25.00 for the first piece of art and $10.00 for each additional piece up to 3 entries.  

Entry fee for non-members:  $30.00 for the first piece and $15.00 for each additional up to 3 entries.


Art must be dry and ready to hang, no saw tooth hangers.   All art must be framed or canvas wrapped with painted sides.  Each painting must have the artists name, telephone number, name of piece, price and medium on the back right corner.


Temecula Valley Art League gets 15% commission on any sales made during the show!


All entries must be presented professionally for the show!!   Show only your best and good luck!


No size limits on large paintings except to not bring in one that takes up a whole wall.  48” wide or smaller is a good size.


Artist reception:  Friday August 7th, 6 pm to 9 pm.  Awards will be presented at 6:30 pm sharp.

FIRST PLACE:   $100.00
SECOND PLACE:  $75.00
THIRD PLACE:  $50.00
THREE HONORABLE MENTIONS:  $25.00 EACH

Noche de Los Muertos - Studio 395 Call For Artists


This is a Call for Artist for a juried show August 15th during our 3rd Saturday Live Art and Music Event. The selected piece will be used for all advertising for the Noche de Los Muertos event Oct 3rd.  This is designed as a fundraiser type event for the Dia De Los Muertos festival and celebration Nov 1st.   This event was created in 2012 by STUDIO 395 and the Lake Elsinore Downtown Merchants.  The City of Lake Elsinore joined in as a sponsor in 2013 and 2014 the Chamber of Commerce, Modela, La Unica, Cardenas and others donated as sponsors.  2015 we are adding the Noche de Los Muertos event.

The Dia De Los Muertos event had an attendance of over 3,000 in 2014.  This is a great opportunity for the selected artist to gain exposure.

At selection, the artwork will be purchased from the artist, for $300.00 including all rights.  The selected piece will then be reproduced into prints and packaged for our silent auction fundraiser October 3rd.  The original will be sold during our live auction and a percentage of the proceeds will be given to the artist.

Press Release: CAC - Studio 395 Awarded Grant!!

CALIFORNIA ARTS COUNCIL INVESTS MORE THAN $4 MILLION IN COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE STATE
347 grants awarded for programs reaching students, veterans, artists, underserved communities across California
SACRAMENTO - The California Arts Council has announced $4,328,062 in grants to California nonprofit organizations under six unique competitive grant programs. 347 grants will be awarded for programs supporting arts education; underserved communities; veterans and their families; local economic development; public media engagement; and arts service organizations.
Local Impact: The Local Impact program fosters equity, access, and opportunity by providing project and partnership support for small arts organizations reaching underserved communities. All projects must extend the reach of the arts to populations that have limited access to the arts.

     Number of Grants Awarded: 146
     Total Investment: $1,285,297


STUDIO 395 Foundation Riverside County  -  STUDIO 395 is receiving grant funding to support a growing Dia De Los Muertos Celebration in Lake Elsinore to allow for continued free access to the community to art and food vendors, a parade, traditional altar decorating, Latin musicians and dancers, cultural art creation, all in a historic downtown area of a community that is approximately 50% Hispanic origin.

Directions to La Rebelde Winery:  Exit 15 fwy @Central Ave, continue west towards to Collier Ave, turn left at light and then right on Crane (2nd street).   Destination is on your left about 2 blocks.


 
REMINDER:  This is 2nd notice that we are getting to work on the planning for the 2015 Dia De Los Muertos Festival and events starting NOW! This years' event is slated for November 1st and will be even bigger and better than last years.   PLUS, we are adding  a "Night of the Dead" party that is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, Oct 3rd.  
 
We are now looking for vendors for the festival that sell hand made arts and items and preferably theme related.  Please contact Rebecca at 951-506-3606 or rebecca@studio395.org if you would like to get on the early list as a vendor.
 
We are also be looking for volunteers for the planning/organizing process for both the festival and the party.  If you have experience with community event planning or have ever had an interest, we will need assistance.  Responsibilities will run the gamut and we can find a place for you to fit in for as much or as little involvement as you can manage.  Again, please contact Rebecca as noted above.
